Why Motherhood Is Bittersweet

Mummy Confession: I often refer to motherhood and parenthood as something “bittersweet.” Sometimes it seems more one way than the other, but it’s always been that touch of both for me personally. These are my thoughts on the matter, do you feel the same? Being a mum is bittersweet. (Being a parent, really) We love watching them grow and seeing what they become and how they learn, but at the same time we wish they would stay little forever. We wish they would love snuggles and kisses and enjoy our company every single day, and give those random hugs and Read More

When You’ve Been Married For Ten Years

Mummy Confession: I haven’t been married long, but I figured as I approach ten years married, I would share some of what I have learned from my marriage as well as seeing others married around me. Maybe much of it is common sense. Don’t marry someone you can “just live with” marry someone you can’t live without. (This is my mother’s advice, and it is SO true!) Milestones and Bunk Beds

Mummy Confession: I’m quite sentimental these days, especially with all the growing up the kids have done lately. Every day it seems one of them learns something new, or reaches some sort of milestone. My tiny one is pulling up and cruising along everything imaginably stable now (and occasionally an unstable thing or two). Last night was my babies’ last Sleep in a toddler bed. Last sleep in what was our first cot. She’s big now, but I can still remember those tiny newborn grunts and squishy noises as I struggled through those exhausting first days and months of motherhood.
